Certainly has grown since I got here 6 years ago.
Probably bigger than it is in Canada now (which also has no reason to have it). Probably because Boxing Days sales are still a huge thing there.
The only thing I used to like about it in the States was it seemed to keep the Christmas adverts and stuff in stores at bay through most of November. Probably not the same now.

In the US most Americans have Black Friday off following Thanksgiving day and have been doing so for years. So it kinda makes sense.
So what excuse do we have to have a Black Friday? Do we celebrate thanksgiving? - No, it's got nothing to do with us. Do we have Black Friday off - No. We have no reason so why do we have to"celebrate" Black Friday?
F**k knows!...or perhaps it's just a PR stunt and any reason to make a quid (or buck) by UK retailers

I have been waiting for a discount on one of these and was going to push the button but Curry's have it with the games controller for the same price but with a £10 Steam gift card lumped in (my son loves a Steam gift card) as a bundle so I've had that.
